Summer Science Education – 5 Tips For Parents to Promote Science With Their Children
Summer is on the way and school is almost over. How do we keep our children interested in science during these warm months when learning is the last thing on their mind?
Stock up on Educational Toys. Educational toys are a great way to keep children learning all summer long. Rock and mineral kits, butterfly nets, and model dinosaurs are fun toys that children love to play with and rarely notice that they are learning in the process.
Ask Questions. Ask your children simple questions as you play during the summer. Why do you think the baseball comes back down after you throw it up in the air? How many legs do you see on the caterpillar? Why do you think that rock has stripes? Help your children look up the answers that they do not know either in a dictionary or on the computer.

The Secret to Teaching Science to Kids
Every child should have a solid science education regardless of whether they want to be the next Albert Einstein or Michael Jordan. Science is all around us, it is everywhere, effecting everything that we do. The “we” in that last statement includes children. Children that understand how science plays a role in our everyday lives have a wonderful foundation for success in life. This is what it means to give them a good educational science foundation for life.
In today’s world the idea that the only people that need to understand science are those that will work as scientists and engineers is seriously outdated. Making sure that all children have a good science education is vital to each child being a success regardless of their background, talent or abilities. Children need to be able to make sense of the world around them, so that they can make the best decisions possible in relation to what they want to do in life, or with life for that matter.

Air Pressure Homeschool Science Experiment – How Airplanes Fly
Homeschool science education is fun! It is more fun when you can use things found around the house to demonstrate some naturally occurring phenomena such as air pressure. Flying a toy plane is every child’s dream, and if it is combined with education, it can promote better understanding.
Before we go into the fun learning activities that you could co-ordinate with a homeschool science program, let me teach you some principles on which airplanes fly. There are some forces working on an airplane as it flies. They are the forces of thrust and drag and lift and gravity.
